file tools that never upload your file

Everything here runs in this tab. Nothing is sent anywhere, so there is no size limit, no queue and no account.

Drop it once and choose what to do with it here. There is no Google Drive or Dropbox button on purpose: those send the file through a server. Here is what happens instead.

a claim you can check

Every site that handles your files promises to look after them. That promise is all they can offer, because their copy of your file really is on their server: it arrived, it was written to a disk, and what happens next is a policy rather than a fact.

This site is in a different position, so it does something different. After a tool runs it prints a short log, and one line of that log counts the network requests the page made while it worked and how many of them went anywhere other than here — read from your browser's own timing API. That second number is zero. A tool sometimes fetches its own code, and the log says so rather than rounding it down to a more flattering figure. The line underneath tells you how to check the whole thing without believing this page at all: open your browser's network panel and run the tool again.

That is also why the site has no Google Drive or Dropbox buttons, and why there is no account to make. There is nothing to log in to, because there is nothing on the other side.

how it works

  1. Drop a file, or choose one. It is read by the page you already have open. No request carries it anywhere.
  2. Say what you want done. The tool appears here with your file already in it, and the settings explain what each one trades away.
  3. Take the result. The log tells you the real size, how long it took and what crossed the network. Then the file is gone: close the tab and nothing remains.

why it is free

Advertising pays for the hosting, which is cheap because there is no processing to pay for: your device does the work. That is the whole business model, and it is why there is no paid tier, no watermark and no daily limit — there is no per-file cost to recover.

Your files are not part of it. They never reach us, so there is nothing about them to sell, and the advertising is never shown in place of a result or between you and a download.
